Tool maker Stanley has launched the next round of its Build Your America contest that asks participants to nominate and vote for a U.S. public charity or private foundation. Three grand-prize winners will receive $10,000 and an assortment of Stanley Black & Decker products valued at $1,000 for use in completing a community project. This is the third year in a row in which Stanley has sponsored a contest to give back to the community.

To enter, participants are asked to describe in 500 words or less how they would like to give back to their community by nominating a charitable organization to receive the grand prize. Participants and nominees are encouraged to share their stories to drive votes for their projects. Deadline for entries is Nov. 22.

This summer's winner, Active Heroes Retreat Center, will use the prize to build a new Welcome Center as an uplifting check-in destination and where visitors can be connected with additional resources during their stay. To learn more about Active Heroes click here.
