Fast Company's John Brownlee reports that Ikea has issued a recall for its Malm line of dressers after the product's flawed design has caused the deaths of three toddler in less than two years.

Previously, Ikea had responded to complaints of the model's stability issues by offering free wall anchoring kits. After the most recent death of a 22-month-old boy in February, Ikea has elected to full refunds for which 29 million dressers are eligible. Customers who wish to keep their products will have repair crews sent to their homes.

"We are announcing this recall today given the recent tragic death of a third child. It is clear that there are still unsecured products in customers' homes, and we believe that taking further action is the right thing to do," the company said in a statement on Monday.
