Betenbough Homes

Among the builder’s latest offering is the Martha floor plan, which measures 2,050 square feet and is available in Odessa, Texas. The builder’s homes are priced from the $120s and sell for $5 to $15 per square foot less than its main competitors' houses.

The kitchen of the builder’s Martha model opens into the living room/dining area and features no-VOC cabinets and Energy Star appliances. Energy-efficient features come standard in every Betenbough home.

Advanced framing sets engineered studs 24 inches apart and aligns roof trusses perfectly with wall studs, allowing the builder to install more insulation in ceilings and walls. Home buyers, along with local college students and engineers, tour the homes as the framing is installed so they can learn about the system’s energy benefits.

The core of the builder’s mission statement is: “Build, serve, impact.” Those values are graphically displayed in Betenbough Homes’ model homes, where walls are decorated with inspirational message and photos of employees who have volunteered for community projects and international missions.

The bathrooms in the builder’s homes feature low-flow Kohler faucets, toilets and shower heads, as well as low-VOC toilets. Through a deal with the manufacturer to install only Kohler fixtures, the builder is able to offer the water-conserving products without charging a premium.

The Tracy floor plan, available in Odessa, Texas, is 2,568 square feet. The builder’s communities feature entry-level and first-move-up homes.

The 2,050-square-foot Martha floor plan features open spaces and energy-efficient lighting.

The roomy master bedroom of the builder’s Martha model in Odessa, Texas, features Energy Star windows. High-volume purchases of windows and other building components allows the company, which builds 700 homes a year, to include the energy-efficient windows without charging a premium.
