AIA Convention 2011: Product Wrap-up

Takiya The Japanese hardware company offers a more architectural way to hang art or other products in the home. Its Koreder Line picture rail system consists of architectural grade aluminum rails, and stainless steel hooks and wires. It’s rated for various loads.

Merillat Cabinets The manufacturer has adapted its CoreGuard sink base for bathroom cabinets. The engineered polymer bottom section prevents moisture, drips, and spills from warping the interior.

Hansgrohe The company has once again partnered with designer Philippe Starck for a new shower collection in its high-end Axor line. Because elements in the modular system are based on a 5-inch-by-5-inch module, the Axor Starck Shower Collection offers a designer- and installer-friendly system for creating a dream shower.

FSB Designed by architect David Chipperfield, the 1004 door lever can be ordered in cast aluminum, stainless steel, or solid cast bronze with a living finish that will age well over time.

Kolbe & Kolbe  The manufacturer's new door system features panels that fold away to create expansive openings. Made from all-wood or aluminum-clad, the system offers an optional 4 5/8-inch bottom rail, concealed hardware, and architecturally correct mortised hinges.

Toto USA The EcoPower faucet uses the kinetic energy of flowing water to power its electronics. This Integrated model now features temperature and operational controls above the counter for easy use. Moreover, components are incorporated into the unit itself.

Interlam Valchromat colored-through MDF panels feature special resins that make it 30% stronger than standard MDF. It's ideal for a variety of vertical and horizontal applications such as walls, ceilings, and cabinets. The company can also route various designs into the panels.
