77H, Washington, D.C.

77H's 303 apartments and three key residential amenity areas sit above two levels of below-grade parking and a 76,000-square-foot Walmart–the first in Washington, D.C.

The design team's primary goal was to blend the building’s aesthetic with existing neighborhood character.

Kitchens feature movable islands and stainless steel appliances. Monthly rents at 77H range from $1,777 for a studio apartment to $5,096 for a two-bedroom plus den unit.

The community's lounge beckons residents to sit and relax with 20-foot-high floor-to-ceiling windows, three flat-screen TVs, and a catering kitchen.

The project encompasses two courtyards.

The building's large glass panes and steel joints contrast with the more traditional section of the structure.

A two-story fitness center offers a cardio-theater and full-circuit strength training.

77H's exteriors mimic the façades and brick detail of nearby buildings, particularly that of the adjacent historical Government Printing Office.
