Triple Play

By Alison Rice. Lennar is expanding on both coasts. In July, the Miami-based builder added three companies to its fold: B. Andrews and Co. of Bel Air, Md.; Cambridge Homes of Fresno, Calif.; and, as previously pending, Pacific Century Homes in Temecula, Calif. The acquisitions vary in size, from B. Andrews and Cambridge, which expect to close 275 and 300 homes, respectively, this year to Pacific Century, which projects 1,700 closings in 2002. Lennar paid cash for the three builders, but did not disclose purchase prices.
