A new study by the National Association of Realtors shows that 62 percent of Americans have deep concerns about whether firefighters, teachers, and others in their communities can afford housing. Fifty-one percent are also worried that their children or grandchildren won’t be able to live close to them, due to high home costs. Seventy-one percent believe government should put affordable housing higher on its agenda.
