Pulte announced last week that an injured U.S. Army veteran will receive a mortgage-free home in Pulte’s King Crossing community in Katy, Texas, its sixth such initiative with Operation FINALLY HOME.
PulteGroup’s Built to Honor program, in collaboration with the Houston Texans, FMC Technologies and Operation FINALLY HOME awarded the home in front of 72,000 fans during Sunday’s Houston Texans game against the New York Jets.
“We had no idea this was going to happen. It’s like a dream,” U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Israel (Izzy) Raylan Hillyer said after being surprised in front of a sold-out stadium crowd. “We are so thankful and grateful. And we are looking forward to having a kitchen that is wider than three feet!” During a game timeout, Hillyer and his wife, Janina, were brought onto the field and learned that they will receive the home.
