Marriage is a new beginning of life, but the process of getting married and hosting a wedding can be heavy-lifting. Where is the best wedding venue that will fulfill couples' romantic dreams without going over budget? WalletHub staffer Richie Bernardo and a number of personal finance experts can point to where a couple might be able to have their cake and eat it too.
Bernardo and his teammates look at 150 biggest cities in the U.S. and tries to identify the cheapest and most convenient wedding destinations. Their study is based on 18 key indicators of nuptial friendliness, ranging from average wedding cost to the number of event spaces available in local hotels, flower shops per capita to wedding churches per capita, and weather conditions to attraction availability.
The top 10 U.S. wedding destinations are: Orlando, Fla., Las Vegas, Nev., Atlanta, Ga., Tampa, Fla., Springfield, Mo., Cincinnati, Ohio, Salt Lake City, Utah, Miami, Fla., Boise, Idaho, and Tucson, Ariz.
