Four lawsuits have come against custom builder Romm Custom Homes for allegedly failing to complete projects on time, and abandoning them entirely.

Three home buyers and one contractor in Richmond, VA have sued Romm Custom Homes, a local builder, for allegedly abandoning construction of their homes in The Cameron at Grey Oaks.

Mandar and Anjali Deshpande filed the first of the four suits in May, followed by the other home buyers and Riverside Brick & Supply Company in July. Romm owner William H. Romm III has responded to the Desphandes’ suit, stating through his lawyer that the company “admit[s] that they intended to perform as required under the contract and complete the home on schedule and represented the same to the Deshpandes.”

Romm claimed in June that he had secured enough money to settle the suit, but Mandar Deshpande says that he has not heard from Romm, and that the Desphandes’ attorney is beginning the case’s discovery phase.
