Dezeen's Alan G. Brake takes a closer look at the last available unit in Miami's new, BIG-designed towers—a full-floor penthouse, priced to sell at $28 million.
The five-bedroom, 10,100-square-foot space at the Grove at Grand Bay features 10 bathrooms, a private gym, staff quarters, and a spa, in addition to a 2,000-square-foot terrace garden and pool. The penthouse crowns one of the pair of the development's twisted, 20-story towers, currently nearing completion in the Coconut Grove section of Miami.
"Miami has developed a contemporary condominium vernacular that combines brise-soleil style balcony shading with floor-to-ceiling windows in order to best enjoy the panoramic water views of the area," said architect Bjarke Ingels. "We propose to elaborate on these indigenous elements and continue the evolution of the local condominium architecture."
