U.S. News & World Report reporter Devon Thorsby looks at 2016's 20 most desirable places to live in the U.S. based on a consumer survey from Google that asked people where they would prefer to live out of the 100 largest metros. The ranking also took other factors into account, such as cost of living, commute times, and the job market.

Five cities in Florida made the list, along with four in California and numerous spots in the Northwest. People preferred cities with good weather and plentiful outdoor activities.

Honolulu came in at the top spot on the list for its ideal tropical climate and extended getaway feel, and was followed by Colorado Springs, Colo., San Diego, Denver, and Seattle, in the top five. Continue to U.S. News & World Report for the full top 20 ranking.
