Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) released the first video depicting how a model hyperloop train would work and the view inside the raised aluminum tunnel each pod would travel in.
Using magnetic fields to propel a pod full of passengers above tracks in a raised aluminum tube, the hyperloop train is designed to run at 760 mph. When the train breaks, it actually recharges the pod's batteries. The company estimates it could carry an estimated 15 million passengers a year.
HTT is not to be confused with Elon Musk's Hyperloop Technologies. HTT is a crowd-sourced collaboration focused on bringing the most innovative ideas around the hyperloop's capabilities to reality.
