ARCHITECT's Selin Ashaboglu takes a look at a new modular furniture kit from Hersey, Penn-based startup Mojuhler that includes a series of multi-functional pieces that can be assembled into a chair, table, bench, or shelving unit.

The system uses three main components (structural segments, angle brackets, and sex bolts) that can be put together with a hex key or allen wrench. The segments, composed of CNC-cut birch plywood, are finished in high-pressure laminate for durability are offered in eight colors.

The company is currently raising money on Kickstarter in order to purchase the manufacturing equipment to produce these pieces. In the future, Mojuhler hopes to create optional accessories users can add to the furniture, such as cushions, lights, glass table tops, hooks, and cup holders.
