South Florida Business Journal staffer Brian Bandell reports that the city’s Planning and Zoning Board will meet this week to consider approving three units per acre on a 148.3-acre farmland site that belongs to WSFM1 LLC, owned by longtime owners in the McJunkin family.

Bandell notes that the contract purchaser of the site is Ryan Homes, of Reston, Virginia, whose parent company is NVR. Bandell writes:

There appears to be strong demand for new single-family homes in Broward. The supply of existing homes on the market in February based on the current sales place was 4.2 months, according to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Realtors.
