Remodeling staffer Helena Okolicsanyi reports on a new concierge-style home repair service subscribers can access for a monthly fee. Jorey Ramer, Founder and CEO of Super, created the app after experiencing the frustration of being a new homeowner in California.

Homeowners can download the Uber-style service to their smartphones; it's designed to connect an network of repair and installation experts to ongoing and emergent home maintenance and repair issues.

Users can select one of three subscription levels priced at $25, $75, and $150 per month. The $75 option is for a whole home and includes repairs for appliances, plumbing, electrical, heating, and hot water systems. Super also handles the payments, and with the two less expensive plans, users pay a co-pay up to $50 at time of service.

“We are doing the work for the service provider to acquire customers and the service provider doesn’t have to pay us to do this. We pay them to do work,” Ramer says. “At the end of the day we are trying to make a service provider’s work easier so they can focus on what they do best, rather than other distractions.”

Super is currently only available in Washington, D.C., but Ramer plans to expand to other markets.
