Tavistock's Sunbridge development will span 25,000 acres of land across two counties.

A rezoning application filed by Tavistock Development Co. for Florida’s Osceola County adds to the very few details known about the county’s 19,000-acre portion of Tavistock’s 25,000-acre Sunbridge development plan.

Sunbridge, which if approved would span 25,000 acres across Orange and Osceola Counties, is slated to add 3,095 single-family homes, 475 multifamily units, 182,000 square feet of office space, 188,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, 100 hotel rooms and 187 acres of civic space in the Osceola portion by 2025. Tavistock plans to expand its residential offerings to 10,170 single-family homes and 3,350 multifamily units by 2040, and to 20,470 single-family homes and 8,850 multifamily units by 2050.

The Orange County portion of the plan is slated to include more than 7,300 homes, 9 million square feet of commercial space, 6.3 million square feet of office and retail space, and more across 6,000 acres. A county commission will hold a hearing on the plan next month.

Sunbridge will create massive business and job opportunities, similar to the impact of Lake Nona that now boasts more than 5,000 jobs in Medical City and more than 11,000 residents.
