Last year was suppose to be the year millennials bought homes; however, 2016 may the perfect time for them to purchase one for the first time.

Stephanie Guzman of Albuquerque Business First writes that real estate firms worry about millennials when it comes to purchasing homes, because of their student loans debt and high rent cost. Realtor Joe Brooks of Keller Williams (pictured above) believes due to low mortgage rates, it is more likely to see millennials become home buyers. 

"It's a great time for millennials to come out and buy homes," Brooks said. "The inventory of houses is down a hair but we expect that to go back up in the spring, and even though interest rates went up a little bit, Albuquerque is a great place to invest in real estate."
