Lennar has purchased 38 acres of land next to a public golf course in Central Florida for $7.35M.

Lennar Corporation has purchased 38 acres of former agricultural property next to the Orange County National Golf Center, northwest of Disney World.

According to public records, Lennar, which ranks at No. 2 on the 2016 BUILDER 100, bought the land from Magnolia Estates LLC for $7.35 million. The purchase comes in the wake of the “Horizon West building boom” taking place in this area, named after the 20,000-acre Horizon West development, which is reportedly raising prices in this area.

The surrounding public golf course is a 911-acre property comprising three courses, a practice range, villas, and natural wetlands. It is located halfway between two existing Lennar developments: Summer Lake and Stoney Grove.
