During this week's U.N. climate talks in Paris, 18 countries and more than 60 organizations took a stand on the building's industry's role in reducing carbon emissions.

The Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction, which includes the U.S., vowed to speed up and scale up the sector’s huge potential to reduce its emissions and build greater climate resilience into future cities and infrastructure. Members include the International Union of Architects and the World Green Building Council.
