These minimal and well-designed retreats include micro-cabins and sleeping pods located at sites all around the world, From California to South Korea. One set of projects that have received recent buzz are the Getaway cabins, designed by a team of Harvard students and located in New York and Massachusetts.

Graduate students from Harvard University recently launched a company that designs, builds and rents out wilderness micro cabins. Called Getaway, it is aimed at urban residents "looking to escape the digital grind and test drive tiny-house living."
