Davie Weidner, managing editor for Trulia's Housing Economics Research team, writes that new stadiums built in the last decade, by and large, have failed to lift the fortunes of homes in nearby areas.

He notes that proximity to NFL stadiums is a plus, but that they don't automatically add a premium to property values if they're built in the neighborhood. Weidner writes:
