Serving in the military is a major life decision, obviously, which means it greatly impacts where a service member lives and for how long they live there.

In its 2015 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers, the National Association of Realtors included questions about military service for the first time, reports HousingWire staffers Sarah Wheeler and Rosangel Torres.

While 34% of non-military millennials own homes, 51% of millennials in the military do. Also, 95% of military members used a real estate agent, compared to 88% non-military, and the average size of a military members’ home is 2,200 square feet, whereas non-military people purchased an average home with 2,100 square feet.
