A set of new homes being built in San Diego will feature corrugated steel and plastic typically used for greenhouses.
The materials will help homeowners cut down on heat inside, avoid termite issues and be largely maintenance free, reports Phillip Molnar of The San Diego Union-Tribune.
The unique houses come from developer Lee Schwartz. Molnar writes:
He might be on to something because the first home sold in two days for the asking price, about $720,000.
