Dallas News staffer Steve Brown reports on the plight of people whose homes were ravaged in a series of storms and tornadoes, and now have to get in line awaiting skilled labor to make repairs and do reconstruction.
Brown notes that the Dallas market is already in the throes of labor capacity constraint, given the extensive pipeline of new apartment and single-family projects already in progress there. He writes:

“It will put pressure on the labor shortage,” said Carla Ivey Giese, president of the Dallas chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry.
