Dallas Morning News real estate editor Steve Brown reports that after 30 years of operating as a local equestrian center, an 18-acre former riding and stable facility located in the town of Iriving in Dallas has been sold to local developer Provident Realty Advisors.
The Las Colinas Equestrian Center closed last year due to declining business and lack of space. Although square-footage and pricing are still being determined, the company plans to develop the property into 70 single-family lots, which it will then sell to David Weekley Homes.
“It’s kind of sad to see it go,” said Buddy Jordan, one of the former owners who had held the property since the 1990s. “It’s one of those things that Ben Carpenter loved out here. “We already sold part of the land to Uplift North Hills Charter School, which is next door.”
