The Atlanta Business Journal's Phil W. Hudson has the scoop on the acquisition of Chafin Communities, a builder that focuses on northeast Atlanta--by Clayton Homes, for around $50 million.
Clayton Homes, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc., nets 1,100 lots in the deal.
Chafin Communities Founders Eric and Daryl Chafin will remain at the helm of its operations and Chafin’s 25 employees will join Clayton.
Eric and Daryl Chafin declined to comment. Clayton Homes representatives could not be reached for comment.
