Trulia's semi-regular look reveals that Chinese buyers are looking at more for-sale homes in the U.S. Trulia staffer Felipe Chacon points out that the median prices of homes searched for by the Chinese fell from nearly $470,700 during the 3-months ending May 1, 2015 to $362,900 during the 3 months ending Nov. 1, 2015 and have now rebounded to nearly $448,300 during the 3 months ending May 1, 2016.
As a whole, international searches have grown at a slower pace compared to domestic searches in recent years:
This figure has been steadily decreasing since 2011 as domestic search activity has been growing more rapidly than international search activity. International search activity grew by 13.8% during the 3-month period ending May 1 when compared with the same period a year ago. This compares with roughly 38% growth from domestic users.
