In terms of affordability, Charlotte takes the lead thanks to a median home price of only $227,000—less than half the price in Denver. However, note the editors, this disparity may not last long, as home prices in Charlotte have experienced double-digit growth (11.3%) over the past year. Home prices in Denver increased 3.8% over the same period.
