Caruso Homes’ 124-acre mixed-use residential community was given the green light by the Town of Hillsborough, N.C. last week. The Crofton, Md.-based builder is finalizing an agreement with CASA development to provide 14 low-income veterans homes, plus 74 additional low-income homes on site, the company announced in a press release.
The community, called Collins Ridge, will feature a wide variety of housing options. It’s projected to include up to 300 market rate apartments, 200 senior targeted apartments, 300 two-story and three-story town homes, and 150 single-family detached homes.
“After 30 years of building luxury crafted homes, we are excited to introduce our quality and superior customer service to the Hillsborough market," says Jeffrey Caruso, CEO/Owner of Caruso Homes. "We have worked closely with the Town of Hillsborough to ensure that Collins Ridge maintains the integrity and character of the historic community with a vision to create a diverse, amenity-rich neighborhood that promotes a healthy, active lifestyle for its residents."
Founded in 1986, Caruso Homes has recently expanded its operation, opening a second office in Cary, N.C., to serve the greater Raleigh area.
