MarketWatch staffer Claudia Assis reports that shares of SolarCity Corp. notched their worst week ever, as Nevada regulators stood their ground on new rules that make solar power more expensive for state homes and businesses.
The new rules--effective for all and immediately--raise fees and lower credits for solar-powered homes and businesses in Nevada. Assis writes:
Nevada utility regulators approved higher fees and lower credits for solar-powered homes and businesses just before Christmas. The regulations also made no provision for customers who signed for solar when the terms were more favorable.
