Results from the latest Economic Anxiety Index reveals that a growing number of people are stressed because of the economy, with the index jumping 20% from the previous year to 36 (out of a possible 100). Marketplace staffer Kai Ryssdal reports on this fear, with 30% of Americans very fearful they will lose their jobs in the next 6 months (a 10% increase).

The Economic Anxiety Index also looks at the opinions of Americans based on their party affiliations with Clinton and Trump supports having differing opinions of how the economy is slanted to favor other groups:

Sixty-six percent of Trump supporters say the economy is rigged for people who receive government assistance, compared to 32 percent of Clinton supporters; 62 percent of Clinton supporters say the economy is rigged for whites, while only 21 percent of Trump supporters say so.
