The development plan for the Ledges at Grand View.

The Alabaster, Ala. Planning and Zoning Commission has denied a rezoning request from developers Cameron and Concetta Givianpour for a 140-acre lot west of Alabaster’s Grand View development, for which the Givianpours have planned a subdivision known as the Ledges at Grand View.

The Givianpours and city officials were unable to agree on the correct architectural review process for the subdivision, given the current regulations in place at the Grand View development.

The Ledges at Grand View would have included 296 residential lots between 60 and 90 square feet in size, along with a walking trail, a retention pond and a connection to the existing Grand View development. The Givianpours have told city officials that tighter regulations will make the development less attractive to potential builders.
