Dezeen's takes a look at Airbnb's new Tokyo office, which is aesthetically influenced by traditional Japanese design and interiors.

Located in the busy neighborhood of Shinjuku, the company worked with Suppose Design Office to bring the surrounding elements indoors such as Japanese tea rooms and engawa flooring.

"The main concept of this project was to recreate the feeling and vibe of a Tokyo neighborhood," said Makoto Tanijiri and Ai Yoshida of Suppose Design Office. "Instead of using simple walls, we laid out building-inspired volumes to articulate the space, dividing the various functions while keeping a continuity throughout the whole office."
