ARCHITECT magazine's Angie Cook shares the winners of this year's AIA New York State Design Awards. The projects were recognized in 14 categories, including a Best in State award for Rogers Partners Architects+Urban Designers for the Henderson-Hopkins school in Baltimore.

Among the residential projects, Bates Masi + Architects' Elizabeth II in Amagansett, N.Y. received an Award of Excellence (the program's highest honors) for the Residential Large category. That house also received a Builder's Choice/Custom Home Design Award earlier this fall. 

Other categories included Adaptive Reuse/Historic Preservation; Commercial/Industrial Large; Commercial/Industrial Small; Institutional; Institutional AIA Chapter Recognition; Interiors; International; Pro Bono; Residential Large; Residential Multi Family; Residential Small; Unbuilt Young (Less than 10 years); and Urban Planning/Design.
