An unnamed co-housing group plans to build a four-story community of 28 households in West Sacramento, provided that they find enough interest.

An unnamed group is looking to buy an undeveloped half-acre land parcel near Raley Field in West Sacramento. The group plans to build a four-story, 28-household co-housing community on the property, provided that more interested households can be found for the project.

[Group convener Anne Geraghty] said the project would have condominium units with bedrooms and bathrooms, and a 3,500-square-foot kitchen and dining room for communal gatherings. Residents in co-housing projects live in a community based on shared values and have common space for activities such as meals.

The West Sacramento group, which will be changing its name from Renaissance Village Homes, will host information sessions about the community on Nov. 12 and Dec. 3, and expect to start looking for an architect by early next year.
