Chester, V.A. –based developer The Emerson Companies is seeking residential rezoning for nearly 70 acres of agricultural land between its existing Meadowville Landing and Mount Blanco communities in Chesterfield County.
Emerson seeks to build about 100 single-family homes, including a 16-unit townhome section, across four parcels of land. The development would be an extension of the existing Meadowville Landing master-planned community, according to Kerry Hutchinson, the attorney representing Emerson in the rezoning case.
The rezoning request was placed before the county planning commission earlier in November, but was deferred to its next meeting on December 20th.
No specifics on home sizes and pricing for the new section have yet been determined. Homes in the existing Meadowville Landing and Mount Blanco communities start between the low $300,000s and low $400,000s, depending on the community.
