When something is wrong behind the walls, the best move isn't just to take a hammer and smash through it. That's what 3D vision sensors are for, and Vayyar's new Walabot DIY gives contractors an on-the-go solution.
It's very similar to FLIR's smartphone case that outfits phones with dual cameras for easy thermal vision superpowers.
Vayyar hopes its tech can go beyond just seeing through walls. "It can help the blind avoid obstacles," says Vayyer CEO and co-founder Raviv Melamed in a press release. It can "sense – and alert you – if your mother or father has fallen in the shower, help your robot become autonomous, and much more." One could easily imagine that if DIY is a success, a whole suite of Walabot products geared towards different markets will be on their way.
