2015 proved to be a good year for the Denver housing market. The Denver Metro Association of Realtors (DMAR) reports 55,509 homes sold as well as $16 billion worth of single family (detached) homes sold and $4.15 billion in condo/townhouse sales. Denver Business Journal contributing writer Ben Miller takes a look the record year for the area.

Chairman of the DMAR Market Trends Committee Anthony commented on the continued positive growth in the market:

"The Denver metro area continues to be the number one real estate market in the country. ... Sellers have experienced record rates of return on their property as values have skyrocketed the past few years – including a 14 percent increase in the past 12 months alone,"
