Traffic for is growing, but still has a long way to go to catch the websites of the Zillow Group, reports HousingWire staffer Ben Lane.

NewsCorp acquired Move Inc., which operates for the National Association of Realtors, two years ago. Earlier this week, it reported its fiscal 2017 first-quarter financial results in which it stated that’s average monthly unique users of its web and mobile sites was approximately 53 million for the fiscal first quarter of 2017, a growth of 15% year-over-year.

Last week, Zillow Group said that its websites – including Zillow, Trulia, SteetEasy, HotPads, and Naked Apartments – saw more than 164 million average monthly unique users during the third quarter, representing an increase of 16% year-over-year.

The comparison isn’t entirely apples-to-apples though, as Zillow Group is pulling traffic from several different consumer-facing brands, whereas is News Corp’s main property in the space.

But the traffic figures show that digital real estate is still growing and the competition for clicks is still fierce.
