The median selling price for a single-family home in California in March jumped 5.6% from the year before, reports Jonathan Lansner of The Orange County (Calif.) Register.
Lansner digs into the latest PropertyRadar report, which finds the median selling price in the state was $415,000.
The high prices have come at a cost though. Lansner writes:
High costs and thin supply hurt sales activity, PropertyRadar said. Single-family home and condominium sales statewide in March were down 4.7% from a year ago in the second slowest-selling March since 2008.
