The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will hold its annual induction ceremony next week so Redfin set out to find the most affordable cities for music lovers.
Behold, Cleveland, home of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, was deemed most affordable on the list, with a median home sale price of $105,000 and average concert ticket price of $96.97. You wouldn’t talk about music in Cleveland without mentioning the Cleveland Orchestra, consistently ranked among the best in America. Beachland Ballroom & Tavern in Collinwood is consistently voted the best music venue in the city and has featured some of the best up-and-coming talent. In 2002, the Black Keys played their first show in the club’s tavern in front of eight people,” said Cleveland Redfin agent Joe Rath.
St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, and Richmond, Va. rounded out the top five. The list was compiled through Redfin data and with the help of online ticket marketplace Stubhub. We examined several factors that make it easy and affordable to enjoy live music, including concert ticket prices and frequency, median home prices and Walk Scores, in more than 40 metro areas across the U.S.
