San Francisco's Mission District is getting new condos courtesy of Trumark Urban, which will launch sales for its new building, called Rowan, in September. San Francisco Business Times reporter Bianca Torres takes a look at Trumark Urban's nine-story, 70 unit (59 market-rate and 11 below market-rate) building.

Units in the building will range from one bedroom to three, with prices starting in the $700,000s. The building is built on what was once a vacant car wash as Arden Hearing, managing director for Trumark Urban explains:

“A few years ago, you had vagrants and crime in a dilapidated car wash on this site,” he said. “There’s a broad range of people who love living in the Mission and right now, their only option is to live in older housing stock at very high rents. We’re highly under-supplied on for-sale opportunities.”
