NVR may be soon be turning a former church property in Arlington, Va., into 86 housing units, reports Karen Goff of The Washington Business Journal.

Home builder NVR (NYSE: NVR), doing business as Northern Virginia Church properties, has filed a preliminary plan with Arlington County for 1031 Vermont St. North. That property, formerly the First Baptist Church of Ballston, is currently leased to Grace Community Church, which, until recently, hosted offices and meetings there, said Grace Pastor John Slye.

The proposed plan would bring a variety of product types to the site.

NVR proposes 13 townhouses on the north side of 11th Street North and 73 units, a mix of townhouses and multifamily, in a seven-story building on the south side. The multifamily units would be one and two bedroom layouts. The multifamily building would also include two levels of underground parking.
