Nashville is considered by some to be a ripe market for the next round of home building merger-and-acquisition activity. But in the last couple of months the overall market has hit a bit of a bump, according to the Nashville Business Journal's Eric Snyder.
Nashville-area home sales were again down in August when compared to a year ago, but to a lesser degree than the month prior, the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors announced Wednesday.
The softness isn't necessarily a surprise.
“Home sales for our market were essentially flat for August,” GNAR President Denise Creswell said in a news release. “Considering the time of year and the continued struggle with inventory, a slight decrease in sales is not unexpected."
