More than half of the 61 homesites at K. Hovnanian’s first 55+ community in South Carolina have been sold two month prior to the first homeowner moving in.

New Jersey-based K. Hovnanian Homes broke ground on the Model Park section in The Four Seasons at Lakes of Cane Bay community in Summerville, S.C. in April after opening its Welcome Center in July 2015. The nine models in Model Park were showed off in June when the builder hosted a sales event in which 16 homes were sold over a four-day stretch.

“We made a great first impression in the Charleston market, and our team is thrilled with these initial results,” says Sam Abruzzo, senior community manager.

At the event, buyers from more than 10 states along the Eastern Seaboard, as well as local area residents, were invited based on their expressed prior interest.

To date, 33 home sites have been sold.

The Lakeside Home Collection includes more than 15 different home designs that appeal to home owners who are looking to move to a more low-maintenance home. The homes are specifically designed to suit the active 55+ lifestyle.
