Gallup's 50-State Poll reveals that Hawaii has the lowest satisfaction with the affordability of housing. Gallup staffer Jeffrey M. Jones takes a look at the results of the survey, which consists of interviews of 500 residents in each state.

Due to the correlation between median home values and satisfaction of affordable housing, it should come as no surprise that Hawaii has the lowest satisfaction rate given that it has the nations highest median home value. Despite Hawaii's constant high ranking in well being, residents want to see housing improvements:

But Hawaiians clearly see their state as lacking when it comes to the availability of affordable housing. Even in California and New York -- two of the most expensive states to live in -- twice as many residents are satisfied with the availability of affordable housing as is the case in Hawaii.
