South Charlotte may be seeing an influx of town homes in the near future if two development projects are approved, reports Charlotte Business Journal staffer Ashley Fahey.

On a 15.9-acre site, BNA Homes is proposing to develop as many as 127 townhouses, while NVR Inc., the parent company of home builder Ryan Homes, is seeking to build 24 townhouses on the Holy Covenant United Church of Christ site.

BNA’s project would include a pool and amenity area as well as private streets throughout the development, according to a site plan. The plan also includes an easement for a connection to the Sugar Creek Greenway. No more than 30, two-story buildings with a maximum height of 40 feet would be developed.

NVR’s project would also create two-story, 40-foot buildings. The 3-acre site, between Sharon Acres and Sharon Hills roads, is amid several single-family homes and currently contains the Holy Covenant United Church of Christ.
