Pulte-Centex has just opened its third and final phase at Rice Field at Carolina Bay, a master-planned community near Charleston, S.C.
The new Rice Field section will encompass 176 Centex-branded homes, 60 of which are sold. The six floor plans are priced from $253,990, and range in size from 1,900 to 3,000+ square feet. The area currently contains a junior Olympic-sized swimming pool and two fully-furnished model homes – one ranch-style Compton model and one two-story Hampton model. It borders the community’s Rice Field amenity center and playground.
The 1,200-acre Carolina Bay community, which opened 11 years ago, will contain 1,900 homes at full build-out, according to Pulte-Centex.
“This is one of those rare and extraordinary places that draws in residents of all ages and interests,” says Maureen Terry, of Centex Homes. “We have millennials who have just entered their prime home buying years, move-up buyers who want a larger house in the same neighborhood and retirees who enjoy the resort-like amenities right in their back yard,” she says.
