A 47-unit upscale multifamily building currently under construction will bring the flair of Miami's South Beach to the Jersey Shore.

Due to be completed in early 2018, South Beach at Long Branch will feature oceanfront luxury living and architectural features that have marked Long Branch's revitalization since it was damaged by Hurricane Sandy in 2012. The town's boardwalk reopened in April, the last in New Jersey to reopen after the storm.

Located on 1.69 acres on Ocean Avenue, the condo complex developed by FEM Real Estate will be built 25 feet above sea level and will consist of two eight-story towers connected by a plaza level. The two- to four-bedroom units will feature ocean views with glass exterior walls, elevators designed to open directly into nearly all of the units, and private decks with outdoor fireplaces. Additionally, many of the ground-floor residences will include private backyards and garden terraces. Sizes of the units will range from 1,380 to 3,000 square feet.

Amenities will include an infinity saltwater pool, a fitness facility, a business center, and underground parking spaces for two to three cars per unit.

A major step in Long Branch’s ongoing redevelopment since it was damaged by Hurricane Sandy in 2012, South Beach at Long Branch is situated on the southernmost point of the Beachfront South redevelopment area. It is located less than a quarter of a mile from the Pier Village and less than a mile from a train station.
